I find Paul did Not establish a new religion, rather the Christian religion was created / established at Pentecost - Acts 2
The gospel of the kingdom is: God's kingdom of Daniel 2:44.
The good news of God's kingdom - Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8 is what Jesus said to proclaim.
Jesus is the figurative ' stone ' of Daniel 2:35,45. Jesus is King of God's Kingdom.
Jesus will bring an end to all corrupted kingdoms or governments.
I like this Matthew, and agree every word of it is true!

Names have meaning and Jesus name does not mean stone
Simon is renamed Peter, which means stone
That is what his (sur)name means and that is his part
Paul’s name means little, as he is the least of the Apostles
I agree, Jesus' name does Not mean stone, but Jesus is the figurative stone of Daniel 2:34,45
Jesus was also a figurative: lamp, door, vine, shepherd, etc.
So, yes, there is more to it.
Not by human hands but by divine power that Messianic kingdom ' stone ' which was cut out of the figurative 'mountain' of God's sovereignty. ( verse 35 B)
His heavenly kingdom government is in the hands of Christ Jesus that figurative ' stone ' in Daniel.
Daniel chapter 2 describes a HUGE statue that represents human world powers. Most are passed off today's scene.
Today's scene shows: that we are now at the time of the statue's toes. Or more like the ' time of the toenails! '

Based on my assessment of your love of God and each other, Charlie, I don't see a lot to worry about improving. Your reasons for becoming who you have become are not as important as who you have become because of them, IMO.

The Resurrection changed EVERYthing.
When Jesus was Resurrected, the reign of death was over.
It depends on how you understand the gospel of Christ. At the beginning before the creation of everything WE (meaning the souls of world) were part of the Kingdom of God, we were the people in his Kingdom but then we became separated from Him because we rebelled against God for we were deceived by Satan/Lucifer the old SNAKE that resulted to our separation from the presence of God (remember the garden of Eden story).
God's plan is to get His PEOPLE, (US) back to his Kingdom through the effort of a redeemer by paying the ransom by his (redeemer's) blood, to take away the SIN of the WORLD.
John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said
"Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world"
The payment for sin is death. Jesus Christ paid for our sin, our SOUL's sin by his blood that is why you said "the reign of death was over" but you did not understand how did it happened. Now you know.
We will all be resurrected from the dead also like Jesus, that is, if we got back our eternal life the free gift from the Father after we accepted in our heart and understood the gospel of Christ otherwise still the same hell is our destination.

There is coming ' healing ' for earth's nations according to Revelation 22:2 ( Yes, No more Covid-19, etc.)
This is a reason why we are all invited to pray the invitation of Rev. 22:20 for Jesus to come !
Come and undo all the damage Satan and Adam brought upon us.
Then, earth-wide we will see God's WILL being done on Earth as described in Isaiah 35th chapter.

My tape player was a Bell & Howell and even then the Bible was on cassette tapes.
The Bible does Not change, even now found on I pads, laptops, tablets.....
