And that's not to mention that the Bible itself states that the Canaanites were still around after supposedly being wiped out. That's not really a contradiction. It's just that like the other ancient Near East peoples, the Biblical writers used exaggerated, hyperbolic language in describing their victories over their enemies.
Your attitude of closing your ears to anything which challenges your beliefs is very closed minded. I prefer to see the Bible for what it is rather than to cling to false beliefs.
