I know it's all about Mary for the Catholics, but I have news for you, the "woman clothed with the sun" is not Mary, it's national Israel!
And I have news for you - it is BOTH!
Mary is Jewish.
We became her children at the foot of the cross - John 19:26
and her, our mother - John 19:27

If you don't know who your mother is, how can you know who your father is??

Who is YOUR mother, Charlie?

LOL, only the Catholics could come up with such!

Rev. 12 is explaining the mid-point of the Great Tribulation when the "man child" who are the 144,000 saved in the first half of the Tribulation, they are the first fruits of the entirety of Israel being saved, as Paul told us.

The 'woman' is Israel fleeing from the anti-christ into the wilderness, actually Petra in Jordan. There is where Jordan helps Israel and commended by God for helping His people as Isaiah told us.

It's funny Charlie - you see this, but you don't understand.
It's happening right now.
But you don't see it.

Whelp, I can't speak for all Catholics, but you can certainly thank a Catholic for having a bible to study!

The purpose of believing in Christ---to trust in him for salvation is to acknowledge that we can't save ourselves but must rely on him for eternal life. Faith is the means by which we take possession of the free gift and offer of salvation. Period.

The preaching of the cross is foolishness (nonsense) to those who are perishing (1 Corinthians 1:18); however, after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God through the foolishness (nonsense) of preaching to save them that believe.

Kind of a double-edged sword there, huh?

We are not elevated to becoming God's children when we obey the Lord; we are elevated to the practice of obeying Him when we become God's children.

Being born again comes first; then obedience.

And being born again comes through faith.

Certainly not through the works of the law (Galatians 2:16).
