Why is it that a handful on this forum keep the fact of sin in the atmosphere! They won't let it go! We could all get along much better if sin was just dropped and we heard no more of it! Of course, I'm speaking mainly of myself!
...
If it doesn't bother you that your sin, all of our sins have nailed our Lord to the Cross, then you stand in opposition to God the Father, you are separated from Him in transgressions and sin, and the wrath of God abides on you! Like it or not, deal with it or not, you will face God and give account for what you nave done with the Crucified One!
There can be bitterness or happiness with the Lord, that is all up to you!
Charlie, I think you are missing the point. If you read the Judaeo-Christian Bible as what it is, a series of parables to illustrate lessons that embody the consequences of good and bad behaviors, you will find a wisdom there that a literal reading does not provide. Rather than fight the teachings with a closed heart and mind, open yourself to the wisdoms that were collected orally and stood the test of time over thousands of years. Bottom line: it's all about the golden rule.
I can tell you in no uncertain terms, that one day your poor behaviors -- or sins if you prefer, will haunt you. There is a reason why one is instructed to clear their conscious mind of guilt before coming to the alter of God -- which we all will do eventually. One cannot truly open one's heart or mind while guilt is keeping both locked tight.

Yep (and this is both individually and collectively)

Peter informs us at 2nd Peter chapter 2 that there is destruction for some, Not reconciliation.
At 2nd Peter 3:9 it is: ' repent ' or ' perish ' ( be destroyed ).
So, it is No wonder Scripture teaches the wicked will be ' destroyed forever ' - Psalm 92:7; Psalm 104:35; Proverbs 2:21-22
There is destruction for all, the old man nature is destroyed as Christ is being formed in us.
