God has given us no promise of that. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, tribulation or not.
Nor is there any value in saving our lives at the expense of our soul.
Not individually Mike, but the Bible does state that there will be an innummerable amount that will come out of the great tribulation. We may or may not be alive at that time individually. A positive point however if we have not sinned against the holy spirit, or been executed by Jesus when he returns, then we will receive a resurrection into that new world, without having to go through the worst tribulation to ever hit mankind.
I don't believe anyone is promised life through the tribulation, are they?
Yes maam, Jesus stated in Mat 24:22 that on account of the chosen ones those days would be cut short, and Rev 7:9, 14 shows an innumerable number standing before the throne who came out of the tribulation.
Jehovah has only chosen to destroy mankind once before, and Jesus compared the upcoming destruction to that, there were survivors in the flood, and there will be survivors through this as well, then the resurrection will begin. Won't that be great when our prayers for God's Kingdom to come will be a reality?
Jesus said that we have enough daily to contend with, not to be worrying about tomorrow. So this concern about the tribulation goes against what he directed.
It's amazing how so many ignore Christ's words, and chase after obscure riders way past his time, adding/changing/babbling things that Jesus never would have said or taught. Forget all that tribulation schtuff, and likely fantasies about the future.
Yes Thor he did say that, in our concerns for acquiring our needs, but don't forget what he stated in closing, to seek the Kingdom first, then those things will be added to you. I can testify that God takes care of Jesus' disciples, none that I know has been left looking for bread Ps 37:25. Dont forget as well that Jesus preached urgency telling us to Keep on the Watch! Stay busy in God's service to secure our position when this world finally does come to it's close, not taking no note as they did before the flood came and swept them all away Mat 24:39
I agree with you all - the Christian is not supposed to be trying to preserve our (natural, religious) life here, that is not to say we are not to be good citizens of the countries and society that we are in and looking after family and neighbours as we are able, and learn
But we are to focus on the higher, invisible things - the purpose and qualities that relate to that (higher) kingdom
The tribulation of the kingdom with its wars, plagues, disputes, impiety, idolatry, etc has been and is going on around us and we are not to be led astray from a basic and essential simplicity, and humility that we are to approach life from
Very true Kat, seek that Kingdom first, take note of the signs, be obedient to the commandments Jesus and the apostles gave us, and we will reap the benefits, our hope will be sure, for sure.
So, are you merely looking to survive, believing you will put on immortality - if you do the right things?
No sir, we will never be immortal. It was satan who stated that you will not die, Jehovah said quite the opposite, everlasting life for God's created beings both spirit as well as humans depend upon obedience, if at some point in the future we choose to disobey, then we have to die as Jehovah stated. What has been repurchased for us is that we will no longer be subject to inherited death.
The good news is however, extremely few will choose to oppose Jehovah in the future, why would they?
Apparently to some, salvation isn't good enough to "survive" whatever this traumatic stuff is to be. They follow a false powerless or inept version of Jesus. That's what's really going on here, and I'm calling it out.
I guess some people simply do not understand what salvation is Thor.
If you manage to be alive during the great tribulation which will come during apostasy of faith from God , then the key is do what Jesus tells you to do ....... If you don't the gift of hearing the Word from Jesus than Jesus said in His Word to wait for a month longer than three and one half years, as these people will be blessed, which sounds like the cross of Christ as three and half years is faith in God's Word ...... You could be a martyr for Jesus like the early Christians, but martyrs cannot get anyone saved, they just get the martyr's crown in Heaven ....... So that is it be a martyr for survival during the time of apostasy
The period of apostasy ended shortly after Jesus was enthroned. The Bible also does not give the length of time the tribulation will last.
I should ask, which group are you talking about? Because the bible talks about two kinds of believers who go through the Tribulation. The first kind are usually confused with being some group taken out of the Jewish people. The list of the 144,000 is composed of 12,000 from each of the tribes mentioned. But it's not a very good way of listing the tribes for something like this, unless the list is meant to convey a spiritual meaning.
So, there are the people in that first group. They get sealed. When some of the bad things happen, they aren't harmed.
Even with this group, though, there might not be a survival strategy or other. The thing they might very well be about doing is to not be ignorant, the seal being upon the forehead. Because they are not ignorant, they do not participate in the things that the vast majority of ignorant people will do, in response to the trials of the times.
An example, and this is an example, I'm not asking to be banned again, would be something like if the conspiracy theorists came up with an alternative to vaccinations that was so bad that it made you sick. But you had the certainty of all of your fellow conspiracy theorists telling you that it was the thing to do, all the way to the end...
Not that you are a conspiracy theorist. That's just me using speech that way to help me make my point.
That example is a gross example, it speaks to an obvious thing. There is a piling on, though, that is as bad as falling in with conspiracy theorists and damaging yourself. That is piling on the weak or infirmed, so that we can feel better about our assessment of what and who should belong in our community.
That's not the answer you were looking for. Maybe that's in the letters to the Churches?
The other group of believers are introduced in the fifth seal. They are the martyrs, so I'm guessing they aren't going to provide many answers either.
What are the requirements given to us in the Bible for survival?

It sure sounds like you are looking to survive, if you are subjected to a future death for non-obedience?
we will never survive in te physical world, Christ Jesus said He was not from physical world did not come from it did go home into Spiritual world of the Father.
