I am curious to Marucharen's interpretation of the symbolism, not that they were not aware of it being symbolic.
And it is very much on topic, they made it on topic by suggesting that it was evidence of rapture, does it offend you that i have a different opinion than you?

No.. if you are implying that world events will let us pinpoint a time when Jesus will come, and especially if you are implying that there will be a "secret whisking away of all saints".
Jesus could come any time, at the end of the world.. and certainly He could come in Fall 2008. But world events have very little if nothing to do with end-time prophecy. I can't go to your links, but if they have anything to do with literal Israel, or physical world battles, or a person as the Anti-christ, I'm sure I would disagree with them.
I was searching around YouTube and stumbled across my favorite theologian guys on the subject. Funny, because I had been searching for it on their website and couldn't find it and boom, here it is.
I realize links are not popular, especially ones concerning the rapture, but the aligning between Biblical prophecy and solar and lunar eclipses is quite interesting to me. I thought it might be to some others, too.
I can't help it if there's not a lot of fanfare and yelling. These are intelligent theologians and they are discussing.....not yelling and talking over each other. Quite refreshing if you ask me.

A minister who promotes the Old Testament roots of Christianity suggests a rare string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God's annual holy days seven years from now could herald what's come to be known as the "Second Coming" of Jesus.
"God wants us to look at the biblical calendar," says Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash. "The reason we need to be watching is [because] He will signal His appearance. But we have to know what to be watching as well. So we need to be watching the biblical holidays."
In a video interview on the Prophecy in the News website, Biltz said he's been studying prophecies that focus on the sun and moon, even going back to the book of Genesis where it states the lights in the sky would be "be for signs, and for seasons."
"It means a signal, kind of like 'one if by land, two if by sea.' It's like God wants to signal us," he said. "The Hebrew word implies ... not only is it a signal, but it's a signal for coming or His appearing."

The theory is that if the 2nd coming is 2015 and if the tribulation is 7 years and there is a rapture before the tribulation, then the rapture should be 2008.

It's so funny to me how some people think they can figure when the rapture will happen and when Jesus will return, the Bible clearly says no one knows.
