God forknew the Fall, we can agree on this; if we press the issue, we must agree that the Fall did not only not take God by surprise, but also conformed to His will - for who hath resisted his will? (Rev. 9:19)?

Consider this string of scripture from Isaiah 45 - our Creator is great, and greatly to be praised.

Quote:
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

At our service this weekend I heard free will described better than I could explain...

God has dignified us by giving us free will. Although he is God Almighty, he forces no one to serve him but appeals to people on the basis of love, blessing those who respond appreciatively to his marvelous provisions.

True choosing not to serve God, you reap not so good alternatives. But why wouldn't you want to serve Him when He's the one who gave us life.

It's about giving God credit where credit is due.

Which view gives God more glory?

Edit: Which is the God of the bible?

Whether God knew before hand is not exactly clear. He has the ability to see the future, but does/ did He use it at all times?

If he did foresee the disobedience of Adam and Eve as a result of free will, he must have been able to see that eventually his orginal plan would succeed and there would be humans who willfully and happily recognize him as our lifegiver and observe our commandments.

That doesn't mean that he Adam and Eve were guinea pigs...they had as much of an opportunity as we all do, but even more so since they were perfect.
