To the pure everything is pure; but to the polluted and unbelieving nothing is pure, but on the contrary their very minds and consciences are polluted.

This is the catalyst in how not to judge another person whose mind or conscience maybe polluted.

The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Is the meaning of light so hard to comprehend whatever century it was written in ?. I'm sure if i said the unbelievers are going to burnt in eternal flames forever and forever, you wouldn't be questioning translations from which century .

If you wrote it in Chinese, I wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about. For some people, 17th century English is not so different from that. For others, 17th century English is too difficult, and an instant turn-off. For still others, 17th century English betokens an old-fashioned, even hypocritical attitude that, again, is not worth any attention. 17th century English is the tool of the comedian, who lampoons Christianity. One can feed him, or one can desist from that.

Laugh out loud , wasn't it you who said "it will be hell for most" on these things command and teach thread. A lie straight from the KJV passed on through many translations centuries later and probably in the one you are reading ,you see the language of the scriptures will never be a stumbling block , interpreting the scripture through a carnal mind will always be.

I have no real preference of bible and will quote on here anything from the KJV to the amplified.

So you prefer the mendacious KJV.

As so many do.

No i don't to be quite honest . If i did the Lord would not have a problem with it , because at the end of the day it's not what translation of the scriptures you are reading it's whether the reality of the scriptures are setting us free .

Quite so. The KJV is thought of by English-speaking missioners around the world as the one translation 'guaranteed to put them off for life'. Which makes the common KJV-reading habit of Bible readers of the USA somewhat anomalous, to say the least.

Or 73, or 76, or some other number, depending on which "objective" standard you pick. That's the great thing about "objective" standards like this, there are so many different "objective" standards to pick from you're bound to find one that matches what you want.
