...and the reason it is so difficult for me, is because I know how difficult it is for those who are living this kind of lifestyle to hear us go on and on about it...because usually....nine times out of ten we come across as, well...some judgemental...some cruel...some impatient...some unkind...some shallow...some deep...we know it is a sin...o.k...and sin is sin...o.k...and in my own personal opinion...the precious...and I mean PRECIOUS individuals that I know personally are just THAT to me...precious! I love them with every breath in me...I am not seperated from the love that I have for them because of the lifestyle they have chosen...I just love them, that's all, love them. This doesn't mean that I condone it...they all know where I stand as a Christian, and whenever the subject arises, and I am asked...I very lovingly and tenderly let them know that I love them...and God loves them...and He wants them to accept His Son Jesus into their hearts so He can change them...they look at me and see the Jesus who loves them through me......right where they're at...in all their "stuff"...when I first heard the call of Jesus call on my life...I remember where I was...and it was ugly...and it was dark...and He loved me...right there......how can I be any different...? I want to be a testimony of His unconditional love...and I know the Holy Spirit can use this right Spirit that is within me to do a miraculous work in them...in His time...not mine...Love
This is why I want a civil discussion and not a debate. I want us to come to a mutual understanding that we do not hate them and our only desire is that they have the same opportunities we do with God.
So you are saying that you live in a commited relationship with another man and you have children? If so then you are denying your children the benefit of a mother and therefore not giving them the opportunity to experience the God given love of a true family experience. Please do not take this as me condeming you, I am merely pointing out the obvious difference between heterosexual and homosexual relationships.
I'll just take it as ignorance then. My children don't have a mother, but they are mothered. See, that's one of the interesting things about gay people - they don't have purely masculine or femenine charicteristics. It's not like they're being raised by two heterosexual men who sit around watching ESPN, drinking beer, living in a filthy house, and eating pizza and canned beans every night I'm sure single parents out there would find your remarks insulting as well.

Why do you want a discussion? I'm sure not going to change my point of view. I live a happy, healthy life and do not believe your version of Christianity. The problem with those on your end of the spectrum is that you can't live and let live. I don't want your prayers or your help. There will be no mutual understanding. Just leave us alone and don't try to pass laws to put us in prison! Then we can all be civil to one another in public - about the best thing we could hope for.
you dont have to have a baby to be in love. And look at all the married straight couples that can't bare children do to issues of reproducing. Or how about when older folk get married in thier 60s, 70s, or 80s. Marriage has nothing to do w/ the ability of having children.
freedom......yeah right more like second class citizens.
I was addressing the comment that said Gays and Straights are not different.
Do you really believe there is no difference? Is that a justification for living in sin without the desire to overcome?

You seem to be continuously looking for insults where none are intended. I am sorry but acting femenine and being a woman is not the same and not all heterosexual men watch ESPN, drink beer, and live in a filthy house eating pizza and canned beans. I actually prefer watching news and documentaries, drink Dr Pepper or water, in a clean house, eating chichen caserole or raviolli. As for single parents I do not see them as being insulted because I know many who would prefer to be married so their children can have both parents.

Pure religion and undefiled is this. To visit the Fatherless and Widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Again, no comparison to single parents... scripture addresses how that affliction is to be comforted.
What does "arsenokoitai" really mean?
Nobody knows for certain.
"Arsenokoitai" is made up of two parts: "arsen" means "man"; "koitai" means "beds."
Although the word in English Bibles is interpreted as referring to homosexuals, we can be fairly certain that this is not the meaning that Paul wanted to convey. If he had, he would have used the word "paiderasste." That was the standard Greek term at the time for sexual behavior between males. We can conclude that he probably meant something different than people who engaged in male-male adult sexual behavior.
But what you seem to be missing is that adultry, fornication, sexual immorality and idolotry are all part of the list as well and would cover homosexuality in one form or another. Playing word symantics is not a good way to make ones case but there are verses that do condemn man laying with man as with a woman.
I almost became gay myself, and it wasn't something that happened overnight, it was a long term process. I stopped the process before it completely took hold.
