Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (Daniel 3:16-18)

His truth keeps marching on...

Yes. We can see this simple truth in the lives of the early Christians who
had only to tell a small lie to save themselves or their families from horrible deaths under the Roman laws. They would not lie nor would their Master.

Some of the posts are made, I think, to just to cause chaos here on the forum and between Christians....is this doing right in God's eyes?
Would I lie to save people? From those who are evil? Yes,
I'm glad I don't have friends who would turn me over to those would wish to do evil.
I know, in some people's book, this condemns me to hell.
Good thing I know there is only one way....through the blood of Jesus.
It's very simple...no need for it to be hard.
I have opened my heart, eyes and ears and I hear what I should.

More Harold obfuscation . . . I said even though it would be done willfully . . . it was NOT . . . (to elaborate for your Harold cult definition) . . . a "willful sin worthy of eternal damnation" . . as YOU believe because it is a commandment and it is done willfully by a saved "Jesus believer" (however you wish to define or parse that Harold). You can continue to employ a simplistic mindless obedience mantra to eternal damnation, Harold . . . but it is a cultish belief wallowing in fear and ignorance of true spiritual maturity and purpose unworthy of our Supreme God.

Sherry - what other commandments would you break in order to save people?

Would you steal, murder, become a prostitute? Nobody is going to die apart from the will of God. Rather than lie could you not just remain silent and let the providence of God decide the issue?

Would that be the same God who said he was sorry he made man and drowned them like rats? Or is that just a Biblical legend...?

Jesus to Mystic:

Mat 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Think I'll take a break from the Christian forum for a while, this debating, belittling and fundamentalist/mystic banter is sooooooooo un christ like I can't even stand it.

While you both argue about Jesus, I think I'll go on a walk with him.
