I am thankful for bluebells and wild roses. Both are native to my area, and they are the harbingers of Summer. Other than dandelions, they are the first color (other than green) to appear naturally each year. Neither plant blooms for long, so they seem especially beautiful each year.

The bluebells have been out for about a week, and I saw the first of the wild roses today. The currents are just blooming, so I'm hoping to find all three in close proximity so I can get a picture of the contrasting colors.

I am so thankful for the sweet innocent smile and the little arms of my great grandson reaching out for me today..He is seven months old now and what a wonderful blessing are grand children.

Proverbs 17

6 Children's children are a crown to the aged,
and parents are the pride of their children.

A couple of other wise sayings
Dearer than our children are the children of our children.
God gives us Grandkids to keep us young at heart.
A grandchild is a gift from above...one to cherish and to love.
If I had known grandchildren were this much fun I would have had
them first.

This isn't a little one, but wanted to post it.

I'm so thankful for the relationship I have with my dad. I feel that had my mom not died those many years ago.... I never would have had this relationship with him. I was all about my mom. My dad was kind of in the background when she was alive. Because I was just SO close to my mom.

Since she died all those years ago, my dad and I are now buddies. I only wished he lived closer.

I love you poppy. Thank you God, for our relationship. Though my mom's death was such a dark cloud, it brought dad and I close, and that is a silver lining. I am thankful.
