John Calvin, a founder of the Protestant Reformation, was born in Noyon, France, on 10 Jul 500 years ago. His life and legacy will be celebrated around the world throughout 2009 with events described as international, interdenominational and interdisciplinary. The main events will be in Geneva, where the theologian found sanctury after fleeing from Catholic France. He wrote and preached in that city until his death in 1564.

Today is the 500th anniversary of John Calvin's birth. Let's give a shout out to John Calvin.

I listened to the first part and that was enough for me.

Don't even suggest i am believing a repentance free gospel , read through my posts , they are numerous posts talking about repentance and short comings.

So before you make a judgement know me better by reading through my posts

There is a calvinist on here who does not believe in repentance after salvation , maybe you should ask him and yourself the same question.

He did not rescue us from ET , that was it when he said that.

Honestly? If you're a universalist, why would you care about leading anyone to anything other than your belief?

For the same reason as Jesus did , because there is joy and peace in believing , that is my desire for my fellow man.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of Servertus. He seemed like more of a reformer than Calvin. I always want to submit to truth. God Bless. jeapostle

No problem. Open rebuke is better than secret love (Prov.27:5)

This ministry condemns you before and after believing ,just like every other church system ministry .

No wonder they believe a chosen few are elected , who in their right mind is going to respond to a condemning God's beckoning.

28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light
