The other problem is that you haven't addressed how someone that HATES God is supposed to ACCEPT Him. Remember before we are in light we are in darkness and the scriptures say that the carnal mind HATES God.
What your describing in saying that someone ACCEPT God is IMPOSSIBLE according to the scriptures.
I believe in ONE Savior, ONE God. No co savior, salvation is offered to everyone, we can't earn it, it is a free gift, but not everyone accepts this gift, some reject it.
Amen....ILNC!!
Praise God our Savior Jesus Christ!
Do you see the problems with eternal torment? It turns a loving God into a capricious, dispicable, manipulating, ogre of a god far worse than any god of the heathens.
That is applying a human POV and value standard to the Almighty Sovereign of the universe. God rises above our standards of what's right and wrong, so yes, He could do that and be perfectly justified in doing so BECAUSE He IS God! We only see the cans of black and white paint separately because that's all we're capable of seeing in this mortal frame. God sees them mixed together producing a grey and then judges accordingly and His judgement is merciful and just even if it means eternal torment for many. Many of us are not capable of comprehending this, hence the doctrine of UR to help us make sense out something that, on it's surface, appears repugnant.
ET doctrine does not reflect the justice, mercy, agape, holiness, omnipotence, or righteousness of God. Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect. We are taught that love never fails, however, many believe that the love of God fails miserably and that Jesus will not destroy the works of satan as He stated that He came to do. God bless.

Dear thrillobyte, according to the early chapters of Romans God gave us a conscience to know right from wrong. God implanted this conscience in humanity. We can judge among ourselves what is right and what is wrong. Can we call what is bad in man, good in God? Can we say it is bad for a man to sodomize a young boy but O.K. for God to do it? You be the judge of that. You know why? Because God gave you a conscience.
It is evil and wicked and beyond horrific and hypocritical for a God who says His love never gives up (1 Cor.13) and then have Him turn around and say He created, purposely created, billions of humans and purposely created a place called "hell" for the sole purpose of getting a kick out of torturing them in fire for eternity.
I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad that is not the God of the Bible!

yes, Shana!
all i can hope for is that the friendship and solidarity of TRUE christians
will show in a very different way than the cruel networks and their supporters can so glibly impress with.

So if it is the Holy Spirit that does the accepting and not the person then you should see that nobody is at fault if they CAN'T accept Christ.
You want me to believe that we are a fault for this rejection but what does the scriptures say:
Rom 9:19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
Paul
