A Baptist pastor in Tennessee says he now regrets that his church distributed an anti-Catholic leaflet that a local Catholic priest decried as “hate material."

Pastor Jonathan Hatcher, who leads Conner Heights Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., has removed the inflammatory leaflet, “The Death Cookie,” from his congregation. He says he will no longer distribute it.

You would think that if you had Jesus Christ come to your home, in the visible flesh for a dinner than your neighbours would not condemn you for putting your best silverware, and best china, and serving him the best food you could find. Where your neighbour would not devalue your blessing and ridiule your efforts to bless and honor their Lord and Savour ....... Then say ``We have a better dinner for him than you have``............. See the Eucharist love meal is no diffrent than the Protestant Holy Communion love meal in the eyes from Heaven......And both is blessed by the faith that is expressed to HIS Spirit which will Judge faith in HIS Children

That's not exactly true. Protestant communion lacks the real presense of Jesus Christ. So in the eyes of heaven, they would be different.

What does it mean to eat Jesus' body, and drink his blood? It means to accept and realise the sacrifice he made- it means to eat 'humble pie', to realise one's complete dependence on that sacrifice to be acceptable. This realisation is the one and only power of the Christian. Without it, there is no life, no motivation to root out evil thoughts, words and actions from one's life. Unless there are clear signs of that rooting out, there has been no feeding on the body and blood.

Jesus said do this in REMEMBRANCE of me, period . . . no magical "transubstantiation" . . . Remembrance. Sheesh. ALL ritual and worship is to FOCUS OUR consciousness, remember Jesus, listen to the Holy Spirit within, and understand what God has "written in our hearts." God gets nothing and needs nothing from our worship . . . WE DO.

I am happy to see the pastor sees the error of his ways. Just stick to the gospel. The truth will prevail and the people will see it.
