Hi all, I cant decide whether I want a stock, clean 2006 TJ Rubicon with over 66k miles that is listed for almost $20k or get a brand new Wrangler Unlimited Sport for over $28k. I can only put down $5,000 and will have to finance the rest.

Price on that Rubi is insane. I wouldn't buy the new one either. I would keep looking.

Even the used Sport Trim is expensive.

Oh, Carmax. That makes sense. Have you looked at other dealers around you?

The prices sound about right for my my local market... Jeeps are just plain overpriced. Rubicon models even more so.

Personally, I would go with the new Sport. You'll get a new problem-free Jeep with a warranty that will still go off-road like a champ and will likely be worth 18K or so when it's 9 years old with 100K+ miles.

Get the TJ, 2006 was the last year of wranglers I like. $20k is normal price for it.
