If the VIN number starts with 3..........that means Mexican made Senor!
The truck I linked to says Made In USA, and the VIN starts with a 1......?

Correct the Ram 2500 and 3500 are made in Mexico. The older dodge 1500 pickups were made in Warren Michigan, they were talking about the heavy duty pickups back to their Warren Truck assembly since they moved the Ram 1500 pickups to their old Chrysler 200 was made in Sterling Heights Michigan. It’s right down the road from their Sterling Heights stamping plant were the body barts are made.

Would t it be nice if they brought back the inline 6 cylinder as the base engine for their full size trucks again? Though slow, they were reliable, smooth running, and had plenty of low end torque to do most average towing or hauling jobs.

Is that the same (or similar) to the older Jeeps I used to have with the inline 6? What a great engine...!

Buy a Dodge with a Cummins engine and you have that inline 6. The fact that it is built in Mexico shouldn't deter you from buying a Dodge.

They got their info wrong Dodge/Ram moved their heavy duty pickup from their Warren truck assembly plant in Warren Michigan to Mexico in the 80’s. I have a friend who’s brother was the plant manager at the Warren plant and said they moved the 2500 and 3500 dually to Mexico.
