As for my favorite vanity plates:
IMADORK (I yelled "Nerd Pride!" at the driver )
GUMDZZZ (on the car of a periodontist)

DMV's aren't infallible when it comes to catching embarrassing or controversial license plates. I once stood in line at my registry with somebody who was trading in his plates because they read "606 F-G," with the middle letter completing an anti-gay slur. He told me he'd been getting unwanted negative attention from people every day because of them. LOL
