I DO believe I've truly found Nirvana here in SW Ohio! I, too, can show that I'm somewhat edumacated AND get in touch with my Briar side (I'm not sure; doesn't holding a CDL and living in SW Ohio automatically qualify one as a "Briar"???) Speaking of "parking the trailer"; that's REAL easy: all ya gotta do is keep backing 'til it sounds expensive...

You city-folks down dar in 'da Nati' hain't seen nothin' yet 'til ya come up an' see us in Franklin an' Carlisle. Jes! Mamma an' Pappa walkin' into the supermarket with bare feet. A pickup truck in every driveway and a rebel flag in the rear window of every fourth truck. A washing-machine on every other front porch and plastic windmills n' chickens everywhere -- stump-jumpin,' ridge-runnin,' briar-hoppin' hilljack heaven! Don't believe it? Jes' come up here n' take a look around -- you'll never complain about "de Nati" again, heh heh!

Let me see if I understand the question. "Hillbillies" have loud exhausts and trunk bass but loud exhausts is not illegal like trunk bass is. So we should outlaw hillbillies?

And, somehow the Cincinnati Public schools are funding the exhausts for the hillbillies in Mason so we should call the police and report the schools for this as well as reporting expensive trailor parks?

I'm not sure I follow. Could someone help me?

(BTW - I think all of that junk with loud this and that are no longer a fad. I don't hear any of this as much as I used to)

Me either, but speaking as an old "Regan" is God "hillbillie," I guess it's just that my hearing is going.

That's because you've gone deaf from all that loud music.

I have fun imagining what it's going to be like in the old folks' homes in 25 years, when me and all my Baby Boomer brethren are cranking up the tunes a) because that's how we've always liked it; and 2) because listening to loud music for 70+ years has taken a toll on our hearing.

I pity all the young whippersnappers that are going to be taking care of us in our declining years. LOL

I have a somewhat loud exhaust system on my car. I drive respectfully around town to make sure I don't disturb my neighbors. I really don't consider myself as hillbilly though. I'm not a teenager. I'm not a THUG! Or whatever you want to classify somebody not driving your typical super quiet prius or your fancy benz.

If it's somewhat loud, what makes you think the rest of us enjoy listening to it? Why do YOU enjoy listening to it? Genuinely curious.

Why do people like quiet exhaust systems? Everybody is different. I enjoy the sound of my car. Just the same as someone who buys a deville looking for a smooth, quiet car. What about people who put straight pipes on their harley's? Why do they do it?

Like I mentioned, I don't intentionally rev-up my engine in my town square to annoy everybody.
