Come on guys. Don't give the OP such a hard time. I've been walking around in a suit I borrowed from a buddy on the bomb squad for the last 3 years, just in case someone fires an RPG at me again. You can't take too many chances in this city.

the last time i was at a party it was raided by banditos who tied our hands behind our backs and took our money, cell phones, everything. they even stole our fridge and tv. then they pistol whipped those of us with blue eyes. i called the cops, but when they showed up i saw them take a bribe from the banditos. so not only would the cops not help, but they told us to quit complaining. and maybe i shouldn't complain. although the banditos took all of the tequila, they left my precious bourbon

This is stupid. I've lived in the city since 1993 and spent lots of time in all of these areas and NEVER ONCE have I experienced ANYTHING. So, either the OP is one of the unluckiest souls on the earth, or I'm the luckiest, and experience tells me, it's not the latter.

Sigh. Ok, this must be karma, I have posted so many times about crime that here is someone using my own tools against me.

Ok, the answer is simple. Live in Hyde Park or Mount Lookout and you won't have hardly any crimes. Yes, Cincy Navigator will back me up. No armed robberies, no murders. Some occasional burglaries depending on the location. But significantly less crime than Clifton and certainly than Correyville.

Columbia Tusculum and Mt Adams also don't have much crime.

If you want even less crime than that, you can move to Terrace Park, Mariemont, or Indian Hill, or several other further out communities. Some of them offer extremely pleasant living.

We gotta call in the National Guard multiple time each decade to handle our searing gang problems and sometimes even the US Army to fend us off from zombie and alien attacks...

Seriously, this thread is comedy.

The National Guard has certainly helped in some areas, but they have done nothing in my area. Me and my neighbors still need to form armed platoons just to go grocery shopping. We lost our pointman from an IED explosion in the produce section last month (he forgot his bomb suit), so we are looking for new recruits. Anyone interested?

...and don't even think about traversing one of the city parks in your escape to safety, except in broad daylight! I've witnessed entire families dragged underground by marauding Morlocks who emerge from the shelter houses, once night falls!

There is always a reason for these types of absurd posts. Troll is one. Moronocy is another. Here I think we have naive.

The OP claimed to have lived in Roslindale, which is an attractive suburb of Boston with home prices in the 200-400 range. Crime in Roslindale is less than one-half of Boston overall. Sort of like comparing Mt. Lookout to Clifton.

Even so, Roslindale has many times the crime of our comparable suburbs such as 45242 which registers a "1" on Sperling's Best Places Crime Stats compared with Roslindale's "7" out of 10.

Of course we all know that crime is higher overall in Cincinnati than in Boston because we have an enormous underclass that generates crime like Boston's 100,000 academics generate hot air.

That has to be one of the most priceless things I've ever read on this forum. True, too.

THIS JUST IN--last night witnesses reported that the firestorm of burning buildings on the horizon could be seen as far away as Wilmington, 50-miles to the northeast. The conflagration has now turned this once-proud Midwestern city into the "Hamburg Of Ohio."
