Oh, Wilson, you're such a curmudgeon! CDs aren't going anywhere anytime soon. There are too many of them, and their limitations in no way compare to the limitations of the 8-track.

Vinyl is making a huge comeback. Makes me wish I had mothballed my AR, Fisher and Garrard components. Some poor insurance company had to replace my 10" reel to reel deck and instead elected to pay me about 10 times what I had paid for it. The thief took an original handmade Tiffany Sterling bowl off of a $40 speaker and stole the speaker and left the bowl. The speaker probably weighed 60 pounds and he only got one of them. Fond memories.

As for the future of teh CD, take a look at the kids. They used to have a cd wallet with them at all times. They don't exist any more. Today, no person under 20 even owns a cd. That is why they are done.
