Hello, all. I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now in anticipation of a move to the Cincy area. It is finally official! My husband's job starts in March. We already have a deposit holding an apartment in Anderson Twp, and are planning on doing a 6-month lease. We are currently residing in NE Ohio and need to sell our home here (currently on the market) before we can purchase a home there, but we will be concentrating on Anderson as we want to be in the Forest Hills school district. Our hope is to sell our current home in the next month or two and spend the summer looking for a new home before school starts up in August. So, I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good realtor in Anderson?

Also, I am wondering about ISPs. It is my understanding that the two major players are Cincinatti Bell and Time Warner Cable. Any preference there? I'm hoping to talk my husband into ditching cable when we move (we have a regional company here and it is so much cheaper than the national companies), but Internet will be a necessity. I was thinking of possibly getting a digital antenna and renewing my Netflix subscription. Thoughts?

Think you might find out the ONLY players in Anderson Twp are Cincinnati Bell FIOPTICS and TWC. Could be wrong but I doubt it. My only caution is get either one to give you a multi-year cost without a contract. May sound dumb but in my estimation internet access and TV in Cincinnati are both dumb and expensive.

Could be my lack of knowledge, which I am frequently guilty of, but a lower cost alternative seems to involve more than I bargained for. Make sure you are NOT being quoted a SHORT term promotional cost but one you can live with for the duration. In my estimation that is what I did wrong when I switched from TWC to CB, didn't pay enough attention to the fine print in what I sxigned.

TWC is advertising a $14.99 per month internet. Do I believe this is a reality - NO!. But until someone shuts them down, that is their advertising. Including TV $44.99. Do I believe these prices - NO! And while you may receive internet, at what speed, crawl space?

Doubt everything you see is still my best advise.
