Ernie, I have family reunion and ballgames that month...as far as me after the middle of july is good and after that. That is allowing time in case my grandsons are in tournaments. I taalked to Charlie Becker tonight and he said for me to let him know when all this takes place....if anything he would meet to eat at the mainliner...Ronnie & DoBee would too. I think according to the map of the new layout and factories where the Manor was ...the street signs are still up...I think it would be good to take pics next to the signs. I'll check back in....good job Ernie !!! Hyden

Bden, Real nice talking with you this morning !!! My brother hooked up with Mike after the service in the early 70s. He believes his brothers name was Tom and that he became a Cinti. Police..Ronnie said that the building connected on the other side of us had kids by the name Mike & Sissy , Rhonda, Johnny Bruner..he said he believed Mike & Sissy were twins and about the same age as him...and that a boy named Leon Hill lived across the hall from them. He added that there was a girl he believed in your building that was the same age as him and your sister Cheryl whose last name was Parks or Parker and she was crossed eyed. She would watch him play outside but didn't come out and play, she was going to have surgery on her eyes ...but Ronnie doesn't remember how that turned out. Ask your sister if she would like to get on here too and maybe throw some names out. I'll check back later. Hyden

Hyden, It was really nice talking to you too. Mikes brother was named Tom and it does see like he was a police officer. We lived in the same neighborhood for years, our kids went to school together and I have ran into Mike and his wife at community functions a few times.
None of the kids names mentioned sound familiar to me.
My sister doesn't get online and isn't interested, I will ask her if she remembers any names from the manor though.

I spoke with my sister this morning and her memory is even worse than mine, she didn't remember any names.
When I was looking through some pictures this morning I noticed the door to the storage room we had in the apartment, it was a large storage room for an apartment and I remembered how I used to play in there. I had barbie rooms set up on the lower shelves and I would play in there for hours.

It's not always easy to remember people or names after so many years, but sometimes things can click just right and refresh the memory. That's what's so great about having so many other people sharing their own recollections about the same subject. For example, I could remember all the streets in the manor, the grade school and the jr. high, as clear as a bell, but had the wrong names for them, except for Kingsley Dr.

Interesting you mentioned the storage room. We had one in our apartment as well. The 'door' was a folding door made of vinyl or something. My brother and I would go in there to play sometimes. I can't remember all the stuff we kept in there, but there were boxes of Christmas decorations, a foldup bed we'd drag out for guests, and other odds and ends, but there was still a lot of room in there.
