Am amazed at how many fond memories are returning from reading these postings! I loved WXIX, Cool Ghoul, and Uncle Al. Was glued to the screen when they were on. I remember a cartoon that aired with Hattie the Witch that had a boy who wore a necklace with a laser like pendant which gave him energy to fight evil doers. Does anyone remember such cartoon?

Thank you for the info. Do you know if any of those episodes were in color? Our family had a bw TV then. I watched several episodes on Youtube, but they were all bw also.

Watching the past recordings of the live shows which were produced on Cincinnati TV is definitely a trip down memory lane. But then I am reminded today we have zero live shows other then weather or news, and there is the question as to whether they are actually live with the amount of scripting imposed. Of course, in that vein we are no worse off than the rest of the US, as live TV, even pre-recorded local productions is virtually gone. So why do we have local TV stations at all? I am sure some producer off in wherever with his computerized programming and cues could score about as well as our so-called local broadcasts.

Without local stations we would have no one to interrupt the real shows when it rains or a couple inches of snow is coming down.

What about Uncle Al ? I went to Arlington Heights Elementary and I remember he came in with all his puppets and characters and did a show.
