btownboss4 and thePR, go find another topic to post on. I think you're both done. Otherwise I either lock the threat (which would be a shame) or lock your accounts, whichever you prefer.

By the way, Michigan wins this hands down. Those other states are cute and all with their lakes and ponds, but you just can't compete with Michigan's Great Lakes coastline (mini-oceans as first time visitors call them), Grand Traverse Bays, and its inland lakes like Torch Lake, Walloon, Charlevoix, Glen, etc.etc.etc.

If you don't have a huge collection of SHIP WRECKS in your lakes dating back to the 18th Century, you should probably be removed from this list due to your dinky size.

Also, if you aren't big enough to have piers, breakers and lighthouses, also removed.

Some aerial lake shots of Michigan: http://www.aerialgraphics.com/lakes.html

The only other State I'd say has a chance is maybe Alaska.

I'm not sure why all the debate is betwee Minnesota and Michigan. I'll concede that Michigan has the most shoreline, but Wisconsin has waay more than Minnesota. In fact, Wisconsin is one of the top states in the nation, for miles of shoreline.

Agreed. I've been to Minnesota several times. There were lakes there, sort of all looked the same, maybe I missed the good ones?

This has got to be the only forum in the world where there is patronizing trolling about geography from someone in the Midwest. And from a moderator no less.

Trolling? Please define trolling as you see it?

I didn't start the poll, I'm only weighing in on it with some rationality. I've been to most of the states listed and at least half of the lower 48. Are you saying that Minnesota even comes close?

I am saying that calling something cute as a put down is patronizing.
