I think there is nothing better when it's a nice warm day, your window is slightly down and you are driving to the downtown of a city, but what do you think is the best drive?

I watched some videos and here is my favourites...

San Diego
Los Angeles
SF
Seattle - beautiful scenery!!
Chicago, sears looks amazing!
Philadelphia - across an anmazing brigde and then seeing the skyline.
Atlanta
NY - the HUGENESS of Manhatten!!
Houston

What are your thoughts guys? Do you have any other to add? I love driving and cannot wait to move to America and drive everywhere and threw the beautiful country!

I agree with all of the above.

NY and SF have very dramatic 'entrances' over bridges. Philly too. New Orleans too.

One of the most breathtaking entrances as well is Portland entering through I-5 from the South-simply stunning.

I'd say that NYC from New Jersey has the most dramatic drive into I've experienced.

This I agree - coming in from Newark toward the Holland tunnel has some amazing views

New York has several amazing drives in. The GW Bridge comes to mind.

Also, Chicago Skyway and Pittsburgh through the Liberty Tunnel and over Liberty Bridge. You come out of this dark tunnel that literally goes through a mountain and all of a sudden you're on a bridge looking at the beautiful skyline on your left.

The most amazing drive I've ever seen, though, was into Istanbul, Turkey from the Mustafa Kemal Ataturk airport. You drive right under Topkapi Serayi, right by the water. It's incredible.

NYC, San Francisco, and Philadelphia. The rest do not compare.

Particularly driving into Manhattan from Queens on the Queensboro bridge. It's much nicer driving straight into midtown than the GW or Triboro bridge that take you into upper Manhattan. With the Queensboro bridge, it takes you smack dab into all the skyscrapers of midtown.

Las Vegas. Especially at night, driving through the desert, it is pitch black all around you, nothing but sage brush and joshua trees...

Coming up I-15 from L.A., you come over a hill and see a small spot of bright lights, and that's Primm, NV...a short while later, the same thing, and it's Jean, NV...then over one last little mountain and you see all of Vegas spread out, a blanket of lights, with the strip prominently in the middle of the city, like a gigantic adult Disneyland.

It's equally impressive driving in from the Salt Lake direction on I-15, or even anywhere else. It's also impressive in the daytime - all that desert around you and all of a sudden a city pops up.

Absolutely beautiful and impressive.

Coming in to Seattle from I5 heading north, or going into Bellevue on 405 North are both great views! Or, going through Seattle on the Viaduct.
