Most Latinos in Los Angeles have either Mexican or El Salvadoran backgrounds and root for their home country. Since soccer is very popular throughout the Latin world there are many countries who participate in the World Cup. Actually I was cheering for the U.S. our own country, but have admired the skills of many European teams, esp Spain.
