Both cities have a strong presence in the media. Atlanta is home to Turner Broadcasting and CNN, and televisions channels such as TBS, Cartoon Network, TNT, Boomerang, truTV, among others have their headquarters in Atlanta. A few television shows and movies have taken place in Atlanta (such as The Blind Side and The Real Housewives).

Miami is home to many large Spanish television networks, such as Univision and Telemundo. Many television shows have taken place in Miami (such as the Golden Girls, CSI: Miami, Burn Notice and Nip/Tuck) and films have filmed in Miami (such as Casino Royale and Miami Vice).

So out of these two cities, which do you think has a bigger presence in the media market??

Miami has been in so many movies, tv shows, and songs, its crazy. Atlanta is no slouch with all of the tv channels they own, but I just feel Miami has more of a popular presence in the media.

i hear about atlanta WAAYYY more than i ever hear about miami. most of the time when you see miami in media, it's always about south beach. rarely about the actually city itself

You have a point that the media loves to glamorize Miami and the best way to do that is with South Beach, but you hear about Atlanta WAAYYY more? I barely ever hear about Atlanta unless were talking about sports or rap music.

as for right now like the past 10 years... atlanta. CNN, cartoon netwok, the weather channel, tnt, etc... movie studios, and location of some shows.

Before now it was all Miami, so I can see how some will say Miami. Miami is used as a backdrop more, but as for media presence atlanta easily

yeah, especially since cartoon network refuses to stop reminding its viewers that it's based in atlanta
