There's an accent thread for this, but while we're on the subject I've always noticed people from the north who move to Atlanta tend to call it Uhlanta. Bad example, but Sheray from the RHWOA is originally from Ohio, and she says Uhlanta, but mostly everyone I know who's from there say Atlana excluding the t. My friend from southwest Philly says Uhlana with no t as well-lol.

Only people who are from somewhere else and don't knw any better pronounce the Ts in Uh-lana. Most of us who have lived there are far to busy to be bothered with the Ts, it being such a busy and dense city and all?

On a more serious note, has anybody ever noticed how in the 1930s and 1940s in movies they used to pronounce Los Angeles as Los-ANG-uh-leez with a hard G? This clip is a good example: VERY strange! Look for the cihuahua in the basket!

Isn't "Los Ang-uh-leez" how you pronounce it in Spanish? Or maybe it's "Los Ang-ha-lace".

FYI -- I don't know how much ATL has Starbucks but they do have multiple Coke flavors on tap which has more cafeine anyway and also iPod vending machines.

I never knew there were more than one flavor of coke, I thought they already got smart when they tried to change it; my guess is that memphis would only have one flavor though

You know if you add coke zero and one and put them all on their side you can make it look like the Olympic symbol
