W Hotels are considered edgy / modern luxury.

They're a tier below Marriott's top luxury offerings, but still a 4-star luxury brand.

Separately, The Edition Hotels (by Marriott) are a niche luxury brand. Their current US locations are NYC (2), Miami, LA, Tampa.

5 Ritz Carlton
4 Four Seasons
2 Conrad
1 St Regis
1 Mandarin Oriental
1 1 Hotel
1 Edition
1 Loews
1 Setai (only US property)

This is before we even get to some of their more exclusive resorts such as Acqualina (often ranked as top 3 resorts in the country), 5 Star Faena (where rooms typically fetch $1500 - 7000 this time of year), Turnberry Resort & Spa, Nobu Hotel, Breakers Palm Beach, Eau Palm Beach, Biltmore, Boca Raton Beach Resort, Fisher Island Hotel & Resort, Carillon, and others.
Might I add two of my favorites in Palm Beach-The Colony and White Elephant.

Good Times in Miami Beach, 4 stars, owned by Pharrell Williams (and some other guy) has been generating a lot of buzz and sold out. Though I’m not familiar with its quality.
