Which cities have the best parks, or places where you can escape the big city life, and the urbanity and be surrounded by nature, peace, and quiet WITHIN the city themselves? Not surrounding areas.

How big the cities?
Because plenty smaller cities you can drive a few minutes and be out in the open.

But similar questions have been asked about BIG cities.

Central Park usually gets the vote for an urban city with nature within it.

Chicago's Lincoln Park along the lake is also very cool.

Philly

I would assume Miami has some escaping spots.

Minneapolis has parks like these. You wouldn't even know you were in the city in some places.

Maybe Anchorage, Alaska? It has a big land area for its population. A website says "Chugach State Park" in Anchorage is the largest city park in the US.

For larger cities El Paso and Houston looked to have fairly large city parks. New Orleans had a fairly large one and I think is a "lusher" area than those cities.
