You'd think Philadelphia would be #1.

Yeah I don't want to live in the rose city but I'll admit some cloud cover is nice. Especially on a Sunday afternoon for a nap.

You and me BOTH. The summers here in DFW are full of this "delicious" sun everybody seems to worship. I'd take two months of full cloud cover in the summer here to just keep the heat down to tolerable levels. And the humidity ain't that low here either. But we have that "delicious" burning, baking sun that makes you have to run your sprinklers almost round the clock to keep your yard from baking.

Blinding, burning, sweaty, annoying, exposing sun is depressing.

I don't get how Flagstaff made it on here, it ranks in both the top 5 for coldest( most days of 32 and below in continental U.S) and snowiest cities in the U.S.

Hot? How about Bullhead city, it seems pretty hot. I'm in Phoenix and I feel sorry for the people in Bullhead every time the weather comes on.

And, that Flagstaff thing is surprising to me too, that's where we go to get away from the sun. lol

Flagstaff is not surprising, even though it is one of the coldest and snowiest cities in the US, there is always sun in the summer, fall, and spring.

With the exception of Key West, all those cities are in the Southwest [though Redding is in extreme northern California] and have dry sunny climates. Just because Flagstaff is at 7000 ft elevation doesn't mean it isn't sunny. Sun doesn't automatically translate into hot especially at alpine heights.
