The area works well for this type of event
NY and Baltimore are not grass. NY is Field Turf and Baltimore is Momentum Turf

There's more to it than just having a large Latin influence/percentage. In Miami, the diversity of the Latin community makes it the perfect spot for the World Cup. Just having a large Latin population isn't enough to trump potential World Cup frenzy that would erupt in Miami among very large and very strong and diverse South American, Carribean and Central American communities that exist there. Not that there isn't diversity of the Latin community in other cities but none of them have the dominant and evident Latin diversity of Miami. The Greater NYC area will have the closest comparison but their numbers don't dominate the culture in the way that they do in Miami. Miami is absolutely made for World Cup.

Gee I wonder why?

Could it be that those same Latinos are coming out in droves to support MLS?

Oh wait. Apparently not.

Seattle dominates MLS attendance for a reason. Seattle's attendance is 80% higher than the next closest city. 80%. Soccer is King in the NW. And when Portland and Vancouver enter the league, it will be come even more evident.

Well then that means that a stadium having grass or turf is not an issue since it can be changed over in just about any stadium.

Probably correct but still believe these 4 cities offer the most cohesion and infrastructure in a small area to host the finals

Most Latinos in DFW could care less about any MLS clubs to begin with, Chivas (FMF) & América are the popular clubs and the other FMF clubs are way more popular then any MLS clubs. That along with the stadium being all the way in Frisco doesn't help with attendance at all. But of course I'm sure you knew that.

Seriously, why do they play in Frisco? The Cotton Bowl would even be better.
