I'm not going to make a list for a poll, but some off the top of my head include 'I Love LA' by Randy Newman, 'New York State of Mind' by Billy Joel (in contrast to 'Empire State of Mind' ), Viva Las Vegas, Country Road, House of the Rising Sun (for some folk, I suppose, lol), Oklahoma (from the musical) etc.

I Love L.A. is a lot less nice to L.A. when you pay attention to the lyrics, as is typical for Newman.
Rollin down
Imperial Hwy
Big nasty redhead at my side
Santa Ana wind blowin hot from the north
and we was born to ride...
Look at that mountain
Look at those trees
Look at that bum over there, man
down on his knees
Look at these women
There ain't nothin' like 'em nowhere...
Newman also wrote a song called
Birmingham, from a concept album called
Good Old Boys, whose lyrics ABSOLUTELY couldn't be reprinted here. Real masterpiece, but you really gotta like satire.
Suffice to say,
I Love L.A. is one of his gentler moments.
