I am from NY but I'll try to be objective

Manhattan > San Francisco
Brooklyn > Los Angeles (city limits only I am assuming, seems silly to include LA MSA if you don't include BK MSA.)
Queens < Chicago
Staten Island vs Atlanta - neither, I wouldn't live in either of those places, so its a tie.
The Bronx vs Baltimore - tie.

I love it how some people hate Atlanta so much that they put things that are pretty much objectively false. Staten Island has institutes of higher education that can compete with Georgia Tech and Georgia State, as well as two of the three highest rated HBCU's? Those are within the city limits of Atlanta. And that's taking the ridiculously stingy position that Emory isn't in Altanta because it's just outside the city limits in unicorporated DeKlab County.

I mean, if Georgia Tech were in New York, it would be the best public university in the whole state.

Manhattan by far. It is what defines New York...

Also not comparable. Chicago is a world class city. Queens is a borough...

Manhattan VS San Francisco:

Manhattan is a one trick pony compared to SF

Criteria:
- Weather
- Scenery
- Economy
- Education
- Parks
- Waterfront
- Skyline
- Downtown activity
- Shopping
- Diversity
- Housing stock
- School systems (K-12)
- Higher education (Colleges & Universities)
- Mass Transit
- Niche Industry (What are they for either?)
- Pace of life
- Quality of life
- Cost of living
- Dining scene

Questions:
- Which one would you rather live in? And why?

SF - Weather, lifestyle, proximity to other cool places, and no guidos!!

Brooklyn VS Los Angeles:

Criteria:
- Weather
- Scenery
- Economy
- Education
- Parks
- Waterfront
- Skyline
- Downtown activity
- Shopping
- Diversity
- Housing stock
- School systems (K-12)
- Higher education (Colleges & Universities)
- Mass Transit
- Niche Industry (What are they for either?)
- Pace of life
- Quality of life
- Cost of living
- Dining scene

Questions:
- Which one would you rather live in? And why?

Another easy one, same reasons really. LA would offer a much more diverse lifestyle than Brooklyn.

Queens VS Chicago:

Criteria:
- Weather
- Scenery
- Economy
- Education
- Parks
- Waterfront
- Skyline
- Downtown activity
- Shopping
- Diversity
- Housing stock
- School systems (K-12)
- Higher education (Colleges & Universities)
- Mass Transit
- Niche Industry (What are they for either?)
- Pace of life
- Quality of life
- Cost of living
- Dining scene

Questions:
- Again Chicago is a whole city compared to a borough. Chicago has the urban downtown dynamic and some great old suburban neighborhoods.

Staten Island VS Atlanta:

Criteria:
- Weather
- Scenery
- Economy
- Education
- Parks
- Waterfront
- Skyline
- Downtown activity
- Shopping
- Diversity
- Housing stock
- School systems (K-12)
- Higher education (Colleges & Universities)
- Mass Transit
- Niche Industry (What are they for either?)
- Pace of life
- Quality of life
- Cost of living
- Dining scene

Questions:
Atlanta. Better weather, exciting growth opportunities.

The Bronx VS Baltimore:

Criteria:
- Weather
- Scenery
- Economy
- Education
- Parks
- Waterfront
- Skyline
- Downtown activity
- Shopping
- Diversity
- Housing stock
- School systems (K-12)
- Higher education (Colleges & Universities)
- Mass Transit
- Niche Industry (What are they for either?)
- Pace of life
- Quality of life
- Cost of living
- Dining scene

Questions:
- Toss up.

I'll just be simple.

I prefer Manhattan to SF. I haven't been to SF but there's nowhere in the world that could compete with Manhattan for me.

I prefer Brooklyn to LA just cause it's home, and it always will be.

I'd prefer Chicago to Queens, not that I don't love Queens but I always wanted to go to Chicago and I know I wouldn't be disappointed.

I'd prefer Staten Island to Atlanta, I haven't been to Atlanta but I always really do love the time I spend/spent on SI.

And I prefer Baltimore to the Bronx, I liked it alot better.

Now for the "better" "city".

Manhattan easily over SF, but again, nothing would really beat Manhattan for me.

I honestly do think Brooklyn over LA, for multiple reasons, I argued about it in another thread already too lol.

Chicago over Queens, I just don't believe Queens can take Chicago here, but I think Brooklyn can compete.

Atlanta over Staten Island as the "better city", pretty self explanatory I think.

And Baltimore over The Bronx as the "better city".

Manhattan IS a one trick pony... it has waaaay too much -ish.

Although we here in the other boroughs started getting the same style restaurants now. I saw a guinea pig on the menu in Queens recently. Didn't even know people ate guinea pigs... sounds pretty nasty since they are so cute. Also tasted some authentic Himalayan soup and *** in Jackson heights, which Imo is better than the places in Manhattan.

Wow, I didn't know that either lol. At least it wasn't rat, which would actually upset me more because I think they're really cute, *** sounds interesting though lol.
