If Birmingham joins Atlanta CSA, it would be an improvement for Atlanta. Birmingham is richer than Atlanta, and has a superior QOL.

You've obviously never been to Birningham ... or Atlanta for that matter. Keep on hating.

Who says I am hating? It must be a government conspiracy to lie about the wealth in Atlanta, no? BEA : Per Capita Personal Income by MSA for 2009 \<a href="#footnote">1</a> (http://www.bea.gov/regional/reis/mrius.cfm - broken link)

The government is lying about Atlanta! Must be because they hate Atlanta and plot to make it less desirable to stop the growth!! Right?

Locals of Birmingham enjoy a higher income than the residents of Atlanta.

FACT

Locals of Birmingham enjoy lower expenditure for property than those of Atlanta.

FACT.

FACT: per capita income has ZERO RELATION to quality of life
FACT: Metro Atlanta has 5 times the population of Metro Birmingham, which translates into far more uber wealthy people per capita.
FACT: The population of the CITY of Atlanta is 2.5 times that of the city of Birmingham, with a 55 percent minority population that's 2nd wealthiest in the nation. Birmingham is 80 percent minority and one of the POOREST cities in the nation.
FACT: Metro Atlanta ranks 2nd in the nation for college educated adults, after Boston.
FACT: As a center of transportation, finance, technology, logostics, education and entertainment, Metro Atlanta's job growth, investment and outlook is off the charts compared to Birmingham's long-stagnant econony.
FACT: Birmingham's ugly history of racial strife has handicapped it beyond repair. Atlanta's role as "the city too busy to hate" and a shining beacon for racial harmony has ensured it will be a mecca of hope and promise to people around the world for years to come.
FACT: Birmingham's airport has ZERO international flights. Atlanta's airport has nonstop direct flights to every continent on earth except Antartica.
FACT: The MEDIAN income of Metro Atlanta and Georgia remains almost $10,000 MORE annually than that of Alabama. MEDIAN INCOME is a far more accurate measure of wealth and spending power than PER CAPITA.

You can choose to hate on Atlanta and stir up the numbers to say whatever you want, but THESE facts don't lie to anybody who knows these two cities (which you in Brooklyn obviously do not).

I just love it how Atlantans can put down Alabama and places smaller than it, but they can't stand a chance with the Texas cities. SMH!

Please give a source, because it seems to me that what you are saying here is an opinion.

Well well, look at you. Where to start;

a. No one besides Atlantans care about Hartsfield Jackson Airport, no one cares if its the busiest in the world. The true success of the airport comes from foreign traffic and Hartsfield Jackson trails SFO, JFK, LAX, ORD, IAH, DFW, MIA at that.

b. Atlanta is in the deep south, the deep south being the root of the confederacy. Dont give me that "to busy to hate" talk like I dont know history, Atlanta represents a disgusting time in our country's history.

c. Metro Atlanta has job growth? LMAO!! Atlanta, GA has seen almost the most job losses midway in the year and its unemployment rate staggers at 10%. Read up on it cuz BLS: Georgia nearly worst for job losses | Atlanta Business Chronicle

d. Atlanta ranks after Boston for college educated adults? LMAO!! Have you heard of NYC, SF, LA, Chicago, DC, Philly, Seattle, Minneapolis?

e. Well thats fine and dandy and all but I dont see how your refuting Atlanta's income being beneath Birmingham's. FYI my little southern friend, per capita income = median income. They are the same thing.

People of Birmingham enjoy a superior salary to their Atlanta counterparts, the addition of Birmingham to Atlanta CSA will be a bone for the Atlanta region, IMO
