Quick question is what major MSA has the most steeples in their suburban skyline, my vote would go to either Boston or DC.

New York has a pretty good number of steeples in NJ and on the Hudson (towns like Cornwall-on-Hudson come to mind), but they are too spread out to make a coherent skyline. Like in most cities steeples have been engulfed by the spread of the city though.

Too bad this is limited to major MSAs. Otherwise I would have chosen Charleston, SC, which is actually nicknamed "The Holy City" because of the steeple-dominated lowrise skyline.

Wow.. Charleston looks borderline European there. Looks like Prague.

Yeah, that's why it's such a major tourist destination. Some more pics:

North Adams, MA is the steeple city. Its very small (13,000 people). And it sits in a small valley between hills on every side. But within that small space you have a skyline with like 5 steeples in it. Check it out!

Milwaukee would have to be considered as well.

Just one example

Riverside, CA in the Los Angeles Area has a large concentration of steeples, they realy stand out by the way.
