DC all day long and twice on Sunday. Philly shouldn't even be in this poll.
Why shouldn't Philly be in this poll? Because its not stereotypical DC, ATL, NO, down-south blackness?
Philly has a much stronger west indian presence than the others on the list, and that equals more after-hours spots, and underground parties. Nobody parties quite like us. Except New York, which is on a whole nother level and IMO has by far the best nightlife(black or otherwise) of any US city.
I'm not sure I get the question being posed. After reading the question, I asked myself "can you name the liveliest nightlife cities for a white male?" and I have no idea where to begin to answer that question. I would assume that the cities known for their nightlife in general would have the liveliest nightlife for everyone, regardless.
If you are asking what cities have higher concentrations of black males that go out at night, that may be easier to answer and maybe that's what you're generally asking. I don't know, the question just made me pause and think for a moment...
To me, the liveliness of nightlife just depends on your taste of nightlife really. I can mingle in most nightlife settings, including blues bars, jazz bars, rock bars, piano lounges, improv clubs, open mic nights, karaoke bars, and even dance clubs (though I've grown out of that for the most part).
I chose New Orleans, because of the high concentration of night spots in the city. They also have a wide variety of nightlife establishments, as well as the on-street entertainment.
Atlanta has many more West Indians than Philly.....
The dumbest statement of the year. I'm not even going to honor this statement by looking up the numbers. Philly is probably only behind NYC and Miami/SoFlo in terms of west indian population.
