I know tons of people including myself, that drink a strong coke if you have had too much fun the night before, in fact I am having one now......It truly does help that queasy feeling, women drink it for morning sickness as well.
You're right, but I could go without soda though. Juice is definitely better.
A lot of juices are just as sugary as soda, but atleast they have nutrients in them. I'll drink apple and orange juice straight, but some of that other stuff I try to water down a bit.

A clear soda or even ginger ale might be better for that.
The real battle should be between RC and Coke. I'll take RC and a Moonpie for the nostalgia.
If it's from North Carolina, it sure ain't "Yankee Cola".
If you want to try some actual Yankee soda go pick yourself up a Moxie. Get a Fluffernutter or a Whoopie Pie to go with it and you got yourself the Yankee version of your RC and Moonpie.
Pepsi to me just tastes stale. Yuck! If I had to drink soda and it was between those two choices, it would be coke all the way! I do agree that the version with real sugar does taste a lot better. Corn syrup has just ruined things. But the last thing that any of those choices do is settle my stomach. The only thing that has helped with Morning Sickness is Ginger Ale or Sprite.
