So... am I really the only one who thinks both of these sodas taste exactly the same?
The only easy way to tell the difference is if you drink Pepsi it feels like your teeth are melting off!
This reminds me of last year when I took that trip to the Deep South, and as you can imagine all the soft drinks were Coke, Dr. Pepper, RC Cola or any assortment of related products. My mother who went with me is a dyed in the wool Diet Pepsi fan, and we nearly fought a civil war in the car on where to eat because there wasn't a Pepsi sign or vendor for miles!
If it's from North Carolina, it sure ain't "Yankee Cola".
If you want to try some actual Yankee soda go pick yourself up a Moxie. Get a Fluffernutter or a Whoopie Pie to go with it and you got yourself the Yankee version of your RC and Moonpie.
Isn't Pepsi more associated with New York? That's what I thought...but admittedly, I haven't done any thorough research on the subject.
I actually did a taste test. Coke is stonger and to me taste better. It is also a better mixer than pepsi. I almsot never see pepsi used as a mixer. Pepsi is sweeter
Wow. You're the second person to say that. I guess my taste buds are just different because I always thought Coke was sweeter while Pepsi was crisper and stronger. Coke goes well with sweets like Doughnuts, cake, etc. Pepsi goes better with spicy foods like pizza, tacos, whatever. I mix Coke with some alcohol but never Pepsi. It doesn't seem to go well in a mixed drink.
I strongly prefer Coke over Pepsi. And whenever I can't get Coke I usually drink a Dr. Pepper which is a nice change-up.
