St. Louis and Tampa definitely have the most 'options.' I would give Memphis the edge for having more of an "underground" night life, or the ability for people to 'get away with stuff'. I've been to all these cities except Jacksonville, so I can't really say for sure. Overall, it's a toss up between St. Louis and Tampa

I've lived in Memphis and St Louis. Visited Indianapolis. Don't know too much about the other cities.

Memphis doesn't compare to St. Louis or Indy.

^ I think Memphis has a better and more lively downtown. Plus a lot more people live there compared to St. Louis' downtown. But overall, St. Louis is better for nightlife. It has more areas for nightlife, it's just that the entertainment districts and walkable neighborhoods are just more spread out rather than concentrated in a couple of areas like Memphis. I love both cities equally though.

Hmmm. I think memphis has a more lively touristcentric (if there is such a word) downtown. As far as amenities for living such as Macys, Schnucks and the activity in the loft district such as nightclubs St louis wins hands down. But there again St Louis riverfront sucks the last time I was there but they do have awsome concerts during the summer. But there again Lacledes landing isn't what it could be but there are casinos that's something that's Memphis doesn't have. But Memphis does have a movie theater at peabody place. That's something that st louis hasn't had in years. But St louis has more scarry delapidated buildings though. I don't know maybe its a tie.

St. Louis has the Delmar Loop, I believe, and that was pretty cool the last time I visited.

St. Louis has the Loop, Central West End, Dowtown, Soulard, and many other areas. Like I said, the places in St. Louis for nightlife & entertainment are more spread out throughout the city; while in Memphis they're mostly concentrated in Downtown and Midtown.

I have lived in Memphis and Indianapolis and visited St. Louis and Jacksonville. Out of those fourI would say Memphis. The culture in Memphis is far superior to the other cities including Tampa.
