As far as for family's. Best (and by best I mean richest) cities for education, standard of living, access to the railroads, etc. I'm talking neighborhoods of just massive stone mansions with brick walls and gold gates. One right after another as far as you can see. I'm talking Mercedes, BMWs, and more. I'm talking dinner parties, guys in $1500 suits smoking cubans and drinking congac.

Okay maybe I'm exaggerating (or maybe not idk). Best of the best NYC suburbs. Long Islands richest vs Westchesters richest.

You forgot Fairfield County and NJ FYI. I think they're both comparable to LI/Westchester as well.

And personally, I think Long Island + Connecticut > Westchester > NJ

I think Westchester in general has more money, but LI has richer neighborhoods. You know, the famous gold coast.

My wife grew up in Westchester, and can't stand the place. My sense is that Weschester is more sprawling and has less character than Long Island, but I haven't spent much time on LI to really be sure.

Actually, it's the opposite. LI is pretty much a run on suburb that is divided up. Westchester has villages and some cities with a walkable infrastructure in terms of a center/Downtown.

Interesting. It may depend where you go in Westchester, as my impression has always been that it is nothing but winding wooded roads with houses, punctuated by occasional strip malls. But as I said, my Long Island knowledge is limited.

I mean, LI has more to offer. That's 2 counties against one.
