I don't think you know the history behind why I said that in relation to Nexis and kidphilly. Those two are some of the most hating poster on here when it comes to Washington DC. This spans multiple threads and topics. Do a search of negativity for them yourself if you want. Even in a thread having nothing to do with DC, somehow kidphilly found a way to complain about DC and Nexis was there right on time to cosign.

No you asked why Transit oprions are poor in KOP; I explained and why even though there is desire and plans why funding is more difficult in some areas than others. DC has trenedous plans and things underway; you actually made a comment that i guess the people dont want it, which is wrong. Whether you believe it or not DC gets preferential treatment on transit, so getting things done in other areas is far more difficult.

I also find the comparison relevant as KOP say to Tysons is an example of similar places 20-25 years ago and differences in development and tranist upgrades development speak volumes to the places today and futures.

My point isnt negative at all, it is only stating that transit funding is more difficult here without preferential Fed funding that takes place there; part of the reason why transit in this area could be sooooo much better

Well, it gets old eventually. You could have easily said its hard to get funding and left it at that. What you said wasn't that bad but Nexis really made it worse. Its like people can't have a discussion about development or transit without people bringing up DC. I just doubt you would have brought up DC if you were speaking to a poster who isn't from here.

Just to be clear...the only reason the silver line is being built is to bring metro to Dulles airport. Its been on the books for 40 years and is finally getting built even though it was supposed to be built in the 1970's. I don't know if you can compare that to KoP. Without Dulles and the Metropolitan Airports Board making Dulles Toll road users pay for the silver line, there wouldn't be anything getting built.
