Seems like most of the growth in the area isn't happening in the core area, but rather suburban Baldwin County.

Not as much when you consider Mobile's regional peers. The core county is on the lower end, although not at the very bottom, when it comes to growth in raw numbers.

Yeah I guess so.Baldwin County has been the attracting county in the metro but again it`s no different than most U.S cities.Mobile County grew by 13,000 in the last decade those numbers are low but 13,000 came at the end of the decade 09-10.So even though the numbers are low I hope Mobile`s late growth spurt will be a sign of things to come.Only time will tell,I would rather deal with slow growth rather than a decline anytime(that should be a slogan but anyway)...We shall see !

I hope it's a sign of things to come as well. Mobile has its advantages; it just has to leverage them for greater prosperity in the future.

Yeah we need city leaders who will take advantage of those advantages... I hope the new plan for the city will be fruitful.
