How far does your city limits stretch from east to west north to south. I've always been interested in this subject. All I want to know is city limits, not metro or urban area. This will give me some type of idea of a cities build as I will follow up on it with google maps.

Many of these cities' areas are incorrect. I think this is 2000 data. Many growing sunbelt cities are larger in land area than listed here.
That said, many other cities have not grown. Miami, for instance, is still just shy of 36 square miles. As for the question, Miami Beach is about 1 mile at its widest and about 8.5 miles long for a total of about 7 square miles.

Providence is 18 sq miles the 20.5 includes water. And I believe Seattle is 86 sq miles.

No, it's undeveloped. It's just sitting there waiting to be annexed. BTW Those two areas separated from the city limits are lakes. The smaller red area is North Lake and the bigger red area is Lake Ray Hubbard.
