I'd think Pittsburgh where the Allegheny and Monongahela meet would be really cool.

Pittsburgh in a walk.

Two of the largest fireworks companies in the world are based in nearby New Castle, PA: Zambelli Fireworks and Pyrotecnico. They provide the fireworks shows and the choreography. (Take a look at the first and third pictures on Zambelli's main page.)People watch the fireworks from the observation decks on top of the hills, the bridges downtown, the banks of the rivers and the confluence at Point State Park, and even on the rivers themselves, where thousands of people watch from motorboats, pontoon boats, jet skis and other watercraft. The display is further amplified by the reflections off the skyscrapers and the rivers. The only cities that are clearly on another level above Pittsburgh with regard to Independence Day fireworks displays are Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and maybe Chicago. Otherwise, I'd put Pittsburgh up against any other city without hesitation.

Agreed, between the big time firework companies and the extreme topography of Pittsburgh make it a good pick. Due to the hills you can great views outside the entire city limits (kennedy)
