PS The US does incredibly overall but we're even more impressive when pure academic quality is weighed. Congrats.

I would have expected to see Northwestern much higher and a few schools are a surprise to see so high such as Utah.

Why did they choose Nature & Science as a criteria over something else?

John Hopkins is Baltimore, not DC.

This is pretty laughable. So you're telling me a place like UCSF is enarmored to a higher rank than Northwestern? Some third rate school like Utah, Arizona State, or Columbus higher ranked than a place like Case Western or more specifically Rice?

I went to school at the University of Toronto, it's truly an astonishing school but it has no business being ahead of Northwestern.

Wow didn't know Princeton was in NYCs metro. Always thought it was Phillys. It sucks for Philly though. So many universities and only 1 ranks. These lists you post Montclair hate Philly xD

Well, the reason why this is my absolute favorite ranking is because the criteria is cut and dry, dispensing of things I consider fluff like alumni giving rates and teacher-to-student ratio.

If we're talking quality of academics their criteria is the best Ive seen so far.

So maybe Northwestern and Case Western do better when things like teacher-to-student ratio and alumni giving rates are factored in, but I very much appreciate this ranking's emphasis on quality of faculty, education and the school's standing in science and research.

Fair enough .. But still this list is fishy. Cal tech should be like number 20 and JHU should be ranked higher . Princeton is in Philly's CSA and UPenn should be ranked higher. Temple U should be on the list also.
