Again, this thread is about opinions and MY PERSONAL OPINION IS THAT HOUSTON HAS A BETTER SKYLINE THAN CHICAGO!!!!! You shouldn't harrass people about their personal opinion. So you like chicago and I like houston. That's it leave it be.
and here's yet another reason why city populations or area are irrelevant. Houston covers hundreds more sq miles than Miami. If Miami had the same amount of sq miles of Houston, all those scrapers that I just talked about would be in Miami city limits. But because the area is so small and Houston's area is so big, Houston will be shown to have more scrapers. But that's not really true.
I agree with you! I do like my home of Houston's skyline, but you don't hear too much about LA. I think that LA is very overlooked, and the skyline is very similar to that of Houston. Very spread out, and very big. Also it's very nice to look at from many of the hills in the area, something that many cities are lacking that gives the locals that extra pleasure at times. I live in San Antonio now, and the skyline is very small, but for good reasons, and from my house you can see the downtown lights perfectly here in the hills....
I think Atlanta definitely has the most unique skyline. In the picture just below the tall building almost completed is a condo in a new development Atlantic Station.
I think you really are being a homer if you think ^that is the most "unique" skyline. Come on, there are other cities in this country: Chicago, New York, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Denver, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco and many others. You really think that ^that is better than those other skylines?

Exactly. But We are looking at HOUSTON Skyline. And MIAMI. If the skycrapers were INSIDE MIAMI CITY LIMITS, they would count. But Again we are looking at the Area inside city limits. Other wise we would be asking about Coral Gables, Hialeah, Miami Beach, etc. in Miami, and we would be including Katy, Alief, Spring Branch, (Saw a huge building boom earlier in 2007 and 2008), Tomball, Pasadena, South Houston, Galena Park, Jacinto City, Conroe, League City, Friendswood, Webster, Tiki Island, Nassau Bay, Texas City, and all the way to Galveston. So stay inside city limits and leave other buildings alone.
As for the population, nobody made any references to population so why are you posting something about that here?
And as for the Miami thing in general, if you do not like the fact that Miami wasn't mentioned in the poll make your own Thread about it. Miami wasn't included get over it. Take Miami elsewhere. This thread is about the cities posted on the poll, and it should have been kept like that. So again if you want to talk about how great Miami is and all that other things that make Miami make the world go round do so in your own thread. That way only those cities that have been included on the poll, are the ones that discussion is made of.
After NYC & Chicago for me its a SF just slightly ahead of Seattle. Then Pittsburgh & Philly. But they're all beautiful really.
