I know some of you may think LA? But its gorgeous. Go up to the Getty Center and see

I agree, but would add San Diego, Miami, Atlanta's trees are pretty, Honolulus tropical setting and mountains. Overall San Francisco is #1.

I think this is a beautiful aerial shot of Pittsburgh.

Call me biased, but I think Cleveland is quite a beautiful city, with the backdrop of the lake, the many unique bridges crossing the Cuyahoga, all the trees (one of our nicknames is The Forest City), the significant and historic architecture. I don't know if it's the most beautiful in the country, but it's definitely up there, at least for me.

I feel that it gets a pretty unfair bad rep for being "dirty" which it really isn't that much anymore. This ain't the 80's anymore. It's cleaned up quite a lot now. But some people can't seem to get rid of old stereotypes.
Even though NYC has cleaned up a bit, it still dirty, in your face compact, rude and prude. At the street level NYC is ugly even with diverse architectural styles and elements, it just does not help. However from certain vantage points and vista NYC can be very beautiful. Even the cities best neighborhoods are dirty to some extent, but however some areas of the city do have plenty of character dirty or not.

There are some historic and picturesque neighborhoods downtown and in Brooklyn, but there is nothing quite on the level of Beacon Hill and Back Bay in Boston or Society Hill in Philadelphia (let alone European capitals).

On the other hand the city has an amazing skyline (and plenty of viewpoints to enjoy it from), tremendous variety of architectural styles and some beautiful nature in and close to the city. So it depends on your definition of beauty.

You are correct here and on point will rep you for this!.

San Francisco is the number one most beautiful city in the US. No debate.

Next are Seattle, San Diego, Boston, Denver and Los Angeles.

That's it.
