In the polls you probably shouldve put chicago and philly not the actual food anyway i think Chicago because they have deep dish and hot dogs but you cant get me wrong on the philly cheese steak!

I voted Philly Cheese Steak, because as a Philadelphian I'm obligated to. However Chicago Deep Dish has many merits. Both are among the top comfort foods and among the most recognizable foods around the country.

That said, I think the hoagie (sub, hero, Italian sandwich, etc) is a better sandwich, and probably the best known food of the three, it just doesn't click in folks minds as a Philadelphia food the way the cheese steak does.

How about Philly's Roast Pork Sandwich with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone? It is easily my favorite.
