You lose all credibility here. So you are saying that New Orleans, SF and LA are cleaner than Chicago and Boston? What a joke!
I can agree Detroit, NYC and Philly. But Boston and Chicago are not among the top 5 dirtiest in the U.S. An arguement can be made they do not deserve to be the top 5 cleanest, but they are for sure not the top 5 dirtiest.
Dirtiest for me:
1. New York City
2. New Orleans
3. Detroit
4. Los Angeles
5. Memphis
Cleanest:
1. San Diego
2. DC
3. Honolulu
4. Chicago
5. Boston
It normally comes up on lists as one of the cleanest major cities overall. It's part of the culture of the city that it spends a lot keeping it clean (of course not the worst of the worst areas, but a large majority of the city). Helps to have all the alleys behind each street as well where the trash is collected. Many laws about having sealed containers, etc. for trash - no bags just laying around waiting to be collected.
Replace Miami with Dallas and I would agree with it.
Miami's actually consistently made the cleanest cities in America list(especially in terms of air quality).
